NEGRINI FRANCESCO

I am a specialist in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and Associate Professor at the University of Insubria. I am actively involved in clinical practice, with a specific focus on the comprehensive rehabilitation management of patients in both musculoskeletal and neurological settings. Since my medical training, I have developed a strong interest in clinical research, conceived as a tool to structure and interpret the complexity of scientific data and to translate evidence into meaningful improvements in clinical practice. After completing my specialization, I further strengthened this background through international training, including the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research course promoted by Harvard University. My research activity primarily focuses on the application of new technologies in rehabilitation, including monitoring systems, digital tools, and artificial intelligence–based solutions. The main goal is to understand how these technologies can be appropriately implemented in clinical care: for which patients, at which stage of the care pathway, and under which conditions they are truly effective. I am the author and co-author of more than 70 scientific publications in indexed international journals, with an H-index of 21 (Scopus - 01/2026). I have received several international scientific awards, including multiple SOSORT Awards at the annual SOSORT International Congress for research on scoliosis and innovation in rehabilitation. I am a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, actively contributing to peer review and to the quality of scientific output in the field.
