It deals with the response of plants to different abiotic stresses such as high or low temperatures, water shortage, metal pollution. In recent years the group has also been involved in the interaction between plants of agronomic interest and beneficial soil microorganisms. It also studies intra- and inter-plant communication mediated by volatile organic compounds. The studies are carried out through physiological and molecular analyzes, in particular proteomics and phosphoproteomics.
