BRACALE MARCELLA

Graduated in Physics from the University of Milan, she earned a PhD in Cellular and Structural Biology. She carried out research at the Institut de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire (IBMC-CNRS) in Strasbourg and at the Max Planck Institute in Cologne. From 1988 to 1998, she was a researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR), at the Centre for Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology. Since 1998, she has pursued her academic career at the University of Insubria, where she has been Full Professor since 2018. Her research focuses on plant physiology and molecular biology, with particular emphasis on plant responses to environmental stress, acclimation to climate change, and the application of omics approaches. She is the author of approximately 100 scientific publications and has participated in numerous national and international research projects, including in leadership roles. She is also active in the field of higher education evaluation as an ANVUR Evaluation Expert.
