Descrizione

Stefano Ponti è ricercatore universitario in geografia fisica e geomorfologia presso l’Università dell’Insubria, con una solida esperienza nello studio di permafrost, processi periglaciali e cambiamento climatico dalle Alpi alle regioni polari. Ha partecipato a numerose spedizioni artiche e antartiche ed è specializzato nell’uso di telerilevamento, fotogrammetria e analisi termiche applicate alle geoscienze. Autore di oltre 20 pubblicazioni scientifiche indicizzate, svolge attività didattica e di coordinamento scientifico internazionale. Il suo lavoro integra ricerca di base, innovazione tecnologica e applicazioni per la mitigazione degli effetti del cambiamento climatico.
